A couple of years ago, I was really in to turquoise. Search "Turquoise" on my blog here and you'll see what I mean. After finishing a couple of turquoise quilts, I put the remaining blocks away for a while. Then recently, I decided to finish up "UFO's" (unfinished objects) and clean up my sewing room. I pulled out my stack of wonky 9-patch blocks and decided to make them in to this big heart. I quilted this guy on my home machine in a giant spiral. It got a little monotonous going round and round, but in the end I love how it turned out. After 4 or 5 turquoise quilts, I'm a little tired of the color. So for the backing I pulled out most of my remaining turquoise fabrics, along with a few leftover squares, and pieced them all together. I may love the back more than the front!
This is my second finish for the first quarter of the 2016 Finish-a-Long.
