Just before the holiday break I bound this quilt, and then yesterday I got around to finally taking pictures. It's hard to take quilt pictures when your backyard is full of snow and it's COLD out! I first mentioned this quilt here and it is on my Q4 Finish-a-long list. This is my third finish for Q4! I used a fatquarter bundle of Emily Isabella's Everyday Party collection for Birch Organics and I am very happy with how it turned out. I used the low-volume print for the backing and quilted it "in the ditch." For the binding I used the light blue print with bears. This quilt sold prior to this post and will be on it's way to a new home shortly! My other December finish was a swap gift for my Mod Q Improv B group. It was finished at the beginning of the month, but I couldn't share it until my partner had received it. I had a lot of fun with this one! My partner is a Harley girl and I was happy to find the paper-piece pattern on Craftsy. However, it took me a few days to decide what color to make the bike. Eventually I decided to skip having a color theme, and just used all the colors from my scrap bin. The background is Kona Ash, I did echo quilting all around the bike, and bound it in Kona Hibiscus (all of that makes a combination that is hard to photograph).
Happy New Year to Everyone!
